Impala are seeking redemption in the Enterprise Cup after suffering relegation in the Kenya Cup.

Fans at the Impala Club were treated to a proper knockout rugby tie as a resurgent Impala Saracens side booked a ticket to the semi-finals of the Enterprise Cup after a 20-16 win over Top Fry Nakuru.

Nakuru who came fresh into the game after being handed a walkover against Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in the Round of 16 and started the game imbued with energy as they surged ahead in the sixth minute when Fred Odongo drilled in a penalty.

Odongo had his kicking shoes on as he doubled Nakuru's advantage in the 12th minute as Impala's discipline cost them on a number of occasions but were only punished twice.

With wind in their sails Nakuru bagged the first try of the game, two minutes after the half hour mark when Hannington Wabwire went on a lung bursting run from the half way line and slalomed through the Impala players to touch down as Odongo added the extras.

Impala finally arrived into the party in the dying minutes of the first half as they camped into the Nakuru 22 meter line and were finally rewarded for their sustained pressure with a try deep into stoppage time as Elkeans Musonye touched down but the conversion was missed to head into the half time break trailing 5-13.

Oscar Osir's half time team talk hit home judging from the blistering start they had in the second half as they bagged their second try of the game three minutes after the resumption as Brian Ochieng ploughed through the Nakuru defense line to touch down.

Nakuru however kept the score board ticking as Onyango who was spot on with his kicks split the posts to extend Wanyore's lead to 12-16.

In the closely fought battle, Impala again came to within a point of Nakuru as Anthony Odhiambo got it right with the first kick to make it 15-16.

Impala turned on the screw midway through the second half as Quinto Ongo crossed the whitewash after a brilliant move by the backline after going through a number of phases to take the lead for the first time in the game but Odhiambo missed his conversion.

Impala held on for the win as they enter the last four of the tournament while Nakuru will have to focus on next season's Kenya Cup.
