This comes after a dramatic and dominant day one of the Embu 7s, the fourth stop of the National Sevens Circuit.

Menengai Oilers, KCB cruised unbeaten, as Kabras RFC recovered after a shaky start.
Pool A
In Pool A, KCB were simply untouchable. They opened their tournament with a 29-14 win over Mwamba.
KCB then blanked Embu 24-0, with Austin Sikutwa grabbing a brace, Brian Wahinya adding one, and Elvis Olukusi completing the rout.
Their last pool game was even more emphatic as they ran in five tries against Daystar Falcons in a 33-0 victory, with George Ooro, Vincent Onyala, Sikutwa and Olukusi again on the scoresheet, and Wahinya clinical with his boot.
Mwamba stayed in contention thanks to a 17-10 win over hosts Embu RFC, which silenced the home crowd’s hopes of an upset. Their 17-14 loss to Daystar Falcons ended their chances of qualifying for the second quarterfinal this season.
Pool B
Pool B was the most dramatic. Stallions, making their return to Division One, shocked Impala with a blistering start.

Sylvester Okach scored twice on the wing, both converted by Lawrence Ndung’u, to hand them a 12-0 lead.
Impala clawed back through David Nyangige and Trevor Opondo, but Okach’s third try restored Stallions’ advantage. A late try from Nyangige converted by Gideon Makumi, saw the contest end 19-19.
Strathmore Leos then stunned Kabras Sugar 15-14, Gabriel Ayimba and Nygel Amaitsa getting them on the board before Arnold Mwita combined with Ayimba for a decisive strike.
Kabras replied through Roy Maruti and Eric Cantona.
The Sugarmen regrouped strongly, outclassing Impala 36-12 with tries from Jackson Siketi, Cantona, Matthias Osimbo, Patrick Lumumba and Brian Mutua, before sealing their passage with a 26-0 dismantling of Stallions as Cantona bagged a brace and Osimbo and Mutua added one each.
Strathmore confirmed their place with a 19-5 victory over Stallions, Ayimba once again pulling the strings, Elton Amalemba and Mwita also dotting down.
Pool C
This pool belonged to Oilers and Nakuru. Oilers started with a 21-12 victory over Nakuru, Daniel Kipchirchir scoring twice and John Okoth adding another, with Eric Ogutu converting two.
Nakuru’s Boniface Opande and Chrissant Ojwang hit back but could not close the gap. Oilers then shut out Nondies 24-0 with tries from Okoth, Alvin Khavoli, Philip Okeyo and Kipchirchir, before routing Mean Machine 31-0 as Clarkson Keegan, Khavoli, Okoth, and Brian Achacha ran in the points.

Nakuru, despite that opening loss, found form to edge Nondies 17-12, Cyprian Ombasso and Habakkuk Ouma scoring before the Red Lions pulled one back.
They then unleashed their full power in a 41-7 demolition of Machine, Felix Okoth and Victor Matiko leading the charge in a one-sided contest.
Pool D
In Pool D, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) Rugby, MMUST emerged as the story of the day.
They began by stunning Quins 26-15, racing to an early lead with two converted tries before Ramadhan Masete pulled one back for Quins.
MMUST struck again after the break, and though Quins rallied late, Veron Kaburu sealed it.
They followed up with a tense 17-14 win over CUEA Monks, then confirmed their place with a 17-7 win over Zetech Oaks, Kaburu scoring twice, including the decisive final try.

Zetech, however, made history of their own by beating the CUEA Monks 12-10, Wafula scoring and Bryan Ondego converting.
Quins, managed a late 17-12 win over CUEA Monks that sailed them through.
