16 teams will battle for Gold from 29-31 July at Coventry stadium
The men's national rugby 7s team, Shujaa, is set to renew its rivalry with eternal foes Uganda when the 2022 Commonwealth Games slated to take place from 28 July to August 8 kick off in Birmingham.
This is after the two perennial rivals were drawn in the same pool for the three day Commonwealth Rugby 7s Games that will be played from 29-31 July at the Coventry Stadium after being moved from Villa Park.

In the Games where 16 teams will be contesting for the gold medal, Shujaa will be eyeing revenge on the Uganda Cranes who painfully dethroned them as the African 7s champions when they beat them in the semis of the Africa 7s Cup held in Kampala, Uganda in April 2022 before going to win the tournament, consequently booking their spot at the Games.
The East African opponents will be joined in that pool D by Australia and Carribean nation Jamaica.
