We are proud to be associated with this tournament that honors the late Rugby icon & legend Benjamin Ayimba because of what he achieved for Kenya,” Jack Bwana, GM Marketing & Business Dev at KAA said.
The tournament, which will take place at the Kenyatta Stadium is set to remember and honor the late Kenyan rugby icon Benjamin Ayimba who co-founded the Masaku Team and the Kenya Rugby League Federation.
Ayimba, who remains to be the only head coach who has ever led the men’s national rugby 7s side Shujaa to clinching a main cup title on the prestigious World Rugby 7s Series (Singapore 2016), passed on in May 2021 after battling cerebral malaria.
The Kenya Rugby League Federation (KRLF) who are the organizers of the first edition of the tournament already partnered with Bunson travel and Semara Hotel to craft a deal that is set to give fans a proper experience during the extravaganza.
