The two nations meet in the semi finals of the tournament on Wednesday

Having bulldozed their opponents in their opening matches of the Barthes Cup, Kenya Under 20 rugby side Chipu and Namibian players dominate the points statistics.

Chipu steamrolled over familiar foes Uganda 54-20 in the junior version of the Elgon Cup to ensure they kick-started their title defense in style.

After a nail-biting first half that was closely contested, ending 11-10, Kenya turned on the style in the second half to walk away 54-20 winners.

Chipu fly half Tonny Oketch has the most points of Kenyan players and is third on the Top Points list after successfully converting four tries and kicking in one penalty, taking his total tally to 11.

Idd Ganguma who bagged a brace of tries in the win over Uganda completes the top five list with 10 points and is currently joint second on the most tries scored.

Having kicked two penalties in Chipu’s opening match, Conellias Mokoro has six points against his name and sits 11th on the log.

Namibian Geraldo Beukes currently tops the charts for the most points scored after securing a hat-trick of tries and also has two conversions to his name to take his tally to 19.

Ugandan full-back Okello Daniel Malcolm sits second on the table with 15 points having bagged a try and two penalties and conversions as he was one of the shining lights in the defeat to Kenya.

With Namibians and Kenyans dominating the Top Points charts, it sets up an interesting battle on Wednesday 13 April in the semi-finals of the tournament.
