KCB will face Blak Blad in the semis.
KCB RFC skipper Andrew Amonde revealed that they hit some challenges after their nervy 14-10 win over Kenya Harlequin in the Impala Floodlit tournament.
The Bankers are looking to retain the Floodies title after a challenging campaign last season that saw them walk empty-handed and their dominance halted.
Amonde noted that the club is looking to implement new systems as they continue to lay down their preparations for the 2022-2023 Kenya Cup season.
“There's been a challenge because we are trying out new things, new techniques, there are new players coming into the system and we are trying to drive new things.
The biggest challenge was just getting back and trying to be at 100%, it's a process we will continue building and things will work out because we are preparing for the Kenya Cup and this is a good platform for that,” said Amonde.
KCB will now face Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad in the semis after overcoming Quins in the quarter-final as they look to kick start the 15s season with a trophy.
Ahead of the last four clash against Blad, Amonde revealed that they will continue to put what they have been training for in preseason to the test.
“We will continue trying the things we have been working on throughout preseason, there is a lot of testing that is going to happen and a lot will still be expected of us.
We will pick up from where we left from and we will keep on graduating as we go on and become much better as a team,” added Amonde.
