Portugal are their next rival after beating Spain
Step by step, we are getting closer to the World Cup final. After the matches played this Tuesday, we've got all four quarter-final ties.
Everything until tonight was more or less expected. This World Cup will probably be remembered by upsets, and even the round of 16 could not finish without at least one.
Morocco eliminated Spain after penalties and found themselves in the company of the greats. Portugal are waiting for them there. Fernando Santos' side did not shine in the group stage, and many would say a rival against whom anything is possible. However, after bulldozing Switzerland 6-1, surely everyone changed their opinion on Portugal, which have been absent from the World Cup semifinals since 2006.
Football fans are probably most looking forward to the epic battle between England and France, teams that have looked convincing so far. Croatia face the most difficult task against the top contender Brazil, while perhaps the most even match will be the one between the Netherlands and Argentina.
