The defending champions alongside Ulinzi Sharks remain unbeaten as the league nears mid-season break.
As the Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) league enters the ninth round on Saturday 7 August, Nyayo Handball Court is set to host six league matches with the clash between women's league defending champions Water Queens and National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) the highlight of the day.
In previous seasons, this would have been one of those fixtures you beat yourself up for missing. Edge-of-the-seat action, the best of Kenya's women handball on display.
However, the Millers head to the meeting on shaky footing having uncharacteristically lost to Nanyuki Women and Ulinzi Sharks. Although they were slim losses, going down by a solitary goal on both occasions, it is a trend that has put NCPB's form to question.
Even so Water Queens' head coach Jack Ochieng believes it will be a tough match as the opponent is out to prove that they still have what it takes to fight for the title.

"This will be a tough and tricky match. NCPB are a tough opponent despite the two losses. They are wounded and are coming out to fight for their place in the league. They will put us under a lot of pressure but we have prepared for this fixture with that in mind and my players are ready. I have my full squad up for selection and that gives me the depth needed for such a match,' said coach Ochieng.
A Varsity derby between Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and Kenyatta University (K.U) is the other women's fixture in the offing. K.U are coming off a 26-all draw against the league leaders Nanyuki while their opponent for the day has played three matches without a win.
In the men's league K.U host JKUAT in another Varsity derby while school boys, Makueni Bees open their account against Vickers who are also playing their first match of the season. Bees missed their match last weekend, handing Thika maximum points. They play NCPB in their second match of the day later in the afternoon.
Another school side, Inspired who handed Rangers HC their first defeat last weekend are in action against former champions Technical University of Kenya (TUK).
