Kenya Prisons' veteran volleyballer Ibrahim Oduor will partner with Wilson Cheruiyot for this year's Africa Zone Five beach volleyball tournament.
A team of four players under the guidance of coach Patrick Owino have left the country on Tuesday 20 December ahead of the zonal competition slated for 21 to 24 in Bunjumbura, Burundi.

Oduor has partnered James Mwaniki in previous competitions, the duo being the highest ranked pair in Kenya.
The women's team has the experienced Phoscah Kasisi joined by Yvonne Wavinya, the two reunited since featuring in the Olympics qualifiers.
Wavinya has played with the national indoor team in the world championships this year as the duo of Gaudencia Makokha and Brackcides Agala were preferred for most of the beach assignments after last year's Olympics qualifiers.
Kasisi, however, was in action at the Nyerere Tour tourney where she partnered Mildred Cherop to lift the title in the event held at Coco beach, Dar Es Salaam in September.

"Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) is grateful to to National Olympics Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) for sponsoring the five person Team Kenya beach volleyball squad to the homologated Africa Zone 5 tournament.
CAVB Zone 5 has also appointed and fully sponsored Sammy Mulinge to travel to the same event as Technical personnel. The Team that leaves for Bujumbra aboard KQ at 1330 hours," Charles Nyaberi wrote while making the announcement.
Nyaberi is also part of the delegation as the the zone's Secretary General and Head of delegation.
Kenya is expected to play teams from Uganda, Tanzania, hosts Burundi and Rwanda.
