Indiana bottled a 20-point advantage and failed to take the unattainable 3-0 lead in the series
The battle between the Pacers and the Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals is far from over. In fact, it has just begun! When it mattered most, Karl-Anthony Towns stepped up and brought New York back to life, helping his team bounce back on the road after losing two opening games of the series at home.
The former Minnesota Timberwolves player put in a "Currylike" performance, scoring some essential three-pointers in the second half and leading the Knicks to a magnificent comeback in Indianapolis - 106-100.
Minutes before the break, the Pacers had a 20-point advantage, ahead of the final period, they were ten points up, but New York's fantastic third and especially fourth quarter - which they won 36-20 - brought them a vital triumph.
Towns finished the game with 24 points and 15 rebounds, while the Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson was below his usual level, pouring on 23 points (6/18 FG). OG Anunoby scored some critical points and counted to 16, while Mikal Bridges followed him with 15.
On the other hand, Tyrese Haliburton was the most efficient Pacers player with 20 points, Myles Turner scored 19, and Pascal Siakam 17.
The fourth game of the series is scheduled for Wednesday (03.00) as Indiana will have another chance to secure two "match points" in front of their own fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
