Paul Gitau's charges began the match confidently, blowing the opponent 25-15 I the first set before picking the second and third sets in scores of 25-17 and 25-7 for maximum points.
The six-time Africa champions had opened their tournament with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-11, 25-11) victory over ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast. As they look to head to the semi final as the best placed team in their group, the oilers have two more hurdles in AS Douanes of Burkina Faso and 2017 champions Carthage of Tunisia.

The side used the break to sharpen their claws ahead of a tough test on Friday, 22 April when they take on the Tunisian champions and tournament hosts Sfax in their second match of pool A.

"This is going to be the biggest match in this group and we have used the rest day to do some training where we focused on rectifying the mistakes we had in our opening fixtures which was not much of a challenge. We expect a tough match seeing as Sfax are the champions so we must be at our best to win," said coach David Lugh'aho
