The side is scheduled to play Storms on Sunday 28 August.
Africa Nazarene University (ANU) women's basketball side Panthers have their work cut out as they look to escape the chop from the top tier league.
The Mike Oluoch-led varsity side has managed one win in five matches, their victory coming against Eldonets, and the coach admits that the squad is struggling but was quick to add that with a few more matches, they will get things right.
Having been stretched thin on bench power on most of the matches played so far, Oluoch is happy to welcome Stella Nekesa who was away on 3x3 national duty and missed a few of their games.
"The women's team is suffering from the vicious cycle that all University teams have to endure when their players clear school and move on. At the beginning of the season, I only had six players but we have done some recruiting and now we have a squad of 12.
The focus now is having the squad gel and create the much-needed chemistry that is currently missing. After that we can now shift to plays and other aspects of the game. I am, however, confident the team will be churning good results soon," offered Oluoch.

The tactician says the 2020/21 break was a blow to the women's team as they did not have a chance to recruit from schools and that affected the team's continuity.
"We have to work with the players we have at the moment and recruit gradually," he added.
The side is scheduled to play Storms on Sunday 28 August as they look to bag a second victory in their sixth match of the season. Storms have also registered one victory this season.
