Kenya Morans continue preparations for the upcoming Afro-Basket qualifiers with coach Cliff Owuor expressing dissatisfaction with the team's endurance.
Owuor led the national men’s basketball team in a friendly match against a South Sudan (Kenyan-based) select team on Saturday, winning 86-83 after a second-half rally from the latter that threatened to humble the Kenyan side.

Morans are set to face off with hosts Tunisia in group E which also has Guinea and Angola. The top two teams from the groups gain automatic qualification to the 2025 AfroBasket.
"We had an impressive first half, dominating all areas and doing the right things but our endurance was put to the test in the second. Based on that performance, we will need to concentrate on building our fitness levels up," Owuor said.
Additionally, the tactician bemoaned the absence of veteran guard Griffin Ligare and forward Ariel Okall who missed the friendly match played at Nyayo Indoor gymnasium due to other commitments.
Albert Odero who led Morans' scoring chart in the friendly with 18 points is the only foreign-based player in camp with the rest of the legion expected to join this week alongside Australian Grant Wallace who is expected to assume the head coach role.
