The tournament provides a crucial platform for junior players to refine their skills and compete in age-appropriate categories, with the opportunity to qualify for prestigious international tournaments such as the U.S. Kids Golf Regional Invitational and Regional Championship events through the accumulation of Priority Status points.

"We are thrilled that the second leg of the fall U.S. Kids Golf Tournament is happening this weekend. Last weekend was quite exciting, and we look forward to an even better outing on Sunday. At NCBA, we believe in nurturing talent and creating opportunities that extend beyond financial growth,” NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora said.

“Through our sponsorship of the NCBA Golf Series, the Kiambu Open, and junior golf events like the U.S. Kids Spring Tournament, we are proud to support the development of golf in Kenya and across the region. These tournaments are not just about competition; they are about bringing people together to compete and celebrate the sport and building the next generation of champions, and we are delighted to be at the center of all this,” he added.

Last weekend, the Ruiru Sports Club made history as it hosted its first-ever NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Local Tour tournament, bringing together 86 players across different categories ranging from 6 to 18 years old.

In Ruiru, Hakeem Mutungi played two under par to clinch the Boys 9 category, a remarkable performance that stood out as one of the day’s highlights.

Notably, of the 86 players, 12 juniors from the Limuru Children’s Centre, highlighting the inclusivity and developmental focus of the championship.
