One day you accuse them of modern slavery, the next day they trade you to the middle of nowhere

Dennis Schroder leaves the Golden State Warriors shortly after complaining about the way the NBA treats players

Keep your mouth shut, or else...

Coincidence or maybe not, but the Golden State Warriors traded Dennis Schroder just a day after he publicly criticized the NBA for being similar to slavery.

Earlier this week, the 31-year-old Schroder commented on Luka Doncic's trade from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers, emphasizing the franchises' lack of loyalty to their players.

"It's like modern slavery," Schroder said. "It's modern slavery at the end of the day. Everybody can decide where you're going, even if you have a contract. Yeah, of course, we make a lot of money, and we can feed our families. But at the end of the day, if they say, 'you're not coming to work tomorrow, you're going over there,' they can decide that. They got to change that a little bit."

And guess what happened the very next day? Steph Curry's Golden State Warriors traded him. Schroder was part of a multi-team deal sending the Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler to the Warriors in exchange for Andrew Wiggins and Kyle Anderson, who went to the Miami Heat. Schroder was later sent to the Utah Jazz.
