Swamibapa were scheduled to face Ruaraka A in Sunday's final at the Nairobi Jaffrey's Grounds

The ongoing Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association 2023 50 Overs League and knockout tournament has been postponed to a later date.

In a letter written to all participating clubs by the NPCA, Honorary Secretary Narendra Patel announced the postponement due to the current weather conditions that had deemed most cricket grounds around Nairobi unplayable for competitive cricket to take place.

“Regrettably, taking into consideration the current weather conditions, we have decided to postpone the ongoing NPCA knockout tournament 2023 to a later date,” the letter read.

Given the two month break existing in the cricket calendar, Patel however indicated that there were plans to ensure that the tournament would be completed before the start of the 2023-24 NPCA 50 Overs league.

“All the teams are free to work on their wickets and grounds during this break,” Patel noted.

Reigning NPCA T20 champions Swamibapa were scheduled to take on Sachin Gill’s Ruaraka A in Sunday’s final at the Nairobi Jaffrey’s Grounds with a host of other NPCA Division One semifinals and Division Two quarter finals lined up.

Swamibapa B were set to take on Stray Lions B at Peponi with Kongonis A facing SCLPS B at the same venue on Sunday.
