James Harden was brilliant again as the Clippers secured a Game 7 against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets

The Los Angeles Clippers forced a Game 7 in their first-round NBA playoff series against the Denver Nuggets with a vital 111-105 win.

James Harden led the hosts with 28 points, as Kawhi Leonard added 27, while Nikola Jokic's 25 points and 10 rebounds weren't enough for the 2023 NBA champions to win it and progress to the next round.

The series now returns to Denver for a winner-take-all Game 7 on Sunday.

Denver took an early lead, but Harden - known by his nickname, The Beard - scored an impressive 17 points in the second quarter to make it even-steven. He continued riding on that wave at the beginning of the second half, and when others joined him, the hosts were +11 all of a sudden, with 90-79 on the scoreboard at the end of the third quarter.

Denver went on an 11-2 run in the fourth quarter to cut the Clippers' lead to six points with 2:43 remaining.

However, that was all they could do, as the Clippers did hold on to the lead and will be hoping to upset The Joker and his crew on their ground.

In the meantime, the New York Knicks advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals after narrowly escaping the Detroit Pistons 116-113.
