The game eventually featured as many as 12 technical fouls (most since 2005), while seven match participants were ejected, including two coaches
Probably every NBA fan who's been following the best basketball league in the world, at least since the 1990s, will vouch that the games are nowhere near as physical as they were during the era mentioned above. Occasional scuffles throughout the beginning of the 21st century were just part of the NBA's transition to "calmer waters," though the biggest-ever brawl happened in 2004 and even got a unique name - "Malice at the Palace."
For some reason, any big NBA fight cannot happen without the Detroit Pistons' involvement. Most NBA fans remember their consecutive titles in 1989 and 1990 and their roster named "Bad Boys" after their physical approach and relentless fighting style. The Pistons were involved in the "Malice at the Palace" as well, when even the fans were included in the fight during the game against the Indiana Pacers.
Last night, they did it again, this time against Minnesota in Minneapolis! The brawl started midway through the second quarter when Isaiah Stewart of the Pistons bumped T-Wolves' Donte DiVincenzo. However, shortly after, Detroit's Ron Holland slapped the ball out of Minnesota's Naz Reid's hands. Both players of the visiting team received technical fouls, but it was already too late.

Shortly, both benches and coaching staffs, and even head coaches were involved in a huge fight on the court, which ended after a few minutes, and thankfully, no one was injured. Yet, the refs had a lot of work to do, giving as many as 12 technical fouls (most since 2005) and seven ejections.
The Pistons lost the aforementioned Holland and Stewart, as well as Marcus Sasser and the head coach J.B. Bickerstaff (?!), while the Timberwolves' DiVincenzo, Reid, and assistant coach Pablo Prigioni were ejected. Additional fines and suspension durations have yet to be determined.
Finally, even though Detroit were nine points up at the moment of the scuffle, they ended up losing the game 123-104, though the final result wasn't that important after everything that happened.
