After losing both home games, Boston crushed the Knicks in New York, while Minnesota broke the Warriors on the road, showing that Steve Kerr's team can hardly beat them without injured Steph Curry
Never underestimate the heart of Champion! Following their two defeats at home, many predicted the reigning champs, Boston Celtics, would be swept by New York. Still, Joe Mazzulla's men bounced back when it mattered most, noting a vital triumph in Madison Square Garden - 115-93.
Already after the first quarter, it was clear that the Knicks wouldn't stand a chance, as the Celtics were 16 points up. Ahead of the final period, Boston had a 26-point lead, and everything was set for a celebration on the road.
Payton Pritchard led the Celtics with 23 points, while their leading duo, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, combined for 41 points. Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns were the most efficient among the Knicks, though the ladder shot miserably (5/18 FG).
In the Western Conference, Minnesota took a 2-1 lead in the series against Golden State, beating the Warriors on the road 102-97.
Even though Jimmy Butler and Jonathan Kuminga combined for 63 points, the absence of GSW's first superstar, Steph Curry, proved vital.
Among the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards stepped up with 36 points, while Julius Randle became the first Minnesota player with a post-season triple-double since Kevin Garnett in 2004, noting 24 points, 10 rebounds, and twelve assists.
