
Nasser wins Commonwealth Games ticket in repeat trials

Megan who would have otherwise joined Njeri will now miss the Games.
Kenya Triathlon Federation held repeat qualifiers for the women's category to the Commonwealth Games following an appeal after the first trial held two weeks ago.
The appeal launched by top seed Josette Njeri challenged the results of the initial trials held at Karen Water Front.

She claimed that some of the competitors who had finished ahead of her in the race where she finished fourth did not complete their loops. Megan Irungu won the race but her position was challenged.
While Njeri sat out the repeat trials sighting health reasons, 18-year old Aisha Nasser won to book a ticket to the Games set to be held in Birmingham from 28 July. She joins Njeri who had a wild card to the Games.

Nasser had finished second at the Karen WaterFront trials. Megan who would have otherwise joined Njeri will now miss the Games. Vivian Hillier came third.
The men's team is made up of Jesse Okal and John Paul.
