
Murimi and team shine at KCB Golf Series in Kiambu

The four-ball of Martin Murimi, Michael Mithika, Wilfred Itegi, and William Mbuthia produced a stellar display to clinch the overall team title at the KCB East Africa Golf Tour held at the Migaa Golf Course in Kiambu on Saturday.

The quartet combined for an impressive 153 points, outshining a strong field of over 200 golfers who teed off in the latest leg of the regional series.
The team of; Peter Ng’ang’a, Mike Kamanu, Arnold Olyaro, and Joseph Gwandaru settled for second place with a total of 142 points, rounding off a highly competitive day of golf.
Speaking after the victory, Murimi could not hide his excitement.
“Today is such an incredible day here at Migaa. Our team was tremendous, owing to the practice and preparation we had going into this tournament.
My four-ball was amazing today. We pushed ourselves, and I am proud of the result. We look forward to the grand finale on December 5,” he said.

In the individual categories, Caroline Muriuki (handicap 32) carded a superb 42 stableford points to emerge as the overall winner.
William Mbuthia (handicap 22) followed closely with 41 points to claim the men’s title, while Pam Nkirote (handicap 26) also carded 41 points to take home the ladies’ crown.
The contest for the longest drive saw Steve Mungemi and Wairimu Gachiru emerge winners in the men’s and ladies’ categories, respectively.
Antony Mbadi clinched the nearest to the pin award among men, while Patsy Kihiu took the honours in the ladies’ section.
Terra Saidimu topped the guest category.
Among KCB staff golfers, Peter Ndichu (handicap 20) led the pack with 37 stableford points, beating David Kitheka (handicap 16), who finished second on 35 points.
The next leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour heads to Eldoret Golf Club on November 15, 2025, as the race to the grand finale intensifies.
