
Magical Kenya Ladies Open winner to take home Ksh 7.9 million

For the outstanding achievement, the winner will also earn 500 order of merit points on the Ladies European Tour
The winner of this year’s Magical Kenya Ladies Open, currently ongoing at the Par-73 PGA Baobab Course at the Vipingo Ridge in Kilifi, will take home Ksh 7.9 million (€45,000) of the total prize kitty.
The prize purse of the fourth edition of the global competition is set at Ksh 52.5 million (€300,000).

For the outstanding achievement, the winner will also earn 500 order of merit points on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
The second-place finisher, assuming there are no ties for the position, will take home Ksh 4.7 million (€27,000) and earn 320 order of merit points, while the third-place finisher will bank Ksh 3.1 million (€18,000) and earn 230 points to kickstart their 2024 LET season.
A top-five finisher without ties is guaranteed at least Ksh 1.8 million in cash earnings with the fourth-place finisher taking home Ksh 2.4 million (€13,500) and 180 points while the fifth-place finisher will take home Ksh 1.8 million and 145 points.
A tenth-place finish will earn a golfer Ksh 1.2 million (€6,900) and 75 order of merit points, while a golfer in 67th – last spot this weekend at the event – will take home Ksh 120,000 (€690).
No Kenyan golfer was able to break to the money bracket as all failed to make cut after two rounds of action.
Naomi Wafula finished as the highest finisher of the lot with a 13-over par 159 score to end her campaign tied in 95th.
Jacquelyne Walter, who played a solid 2-over par round yesterday, shot 13-over par on Friday to take her total for the tourney to 15-over par 161 for a tie in 100th place.
Tournament debutant, Kellie Gachaga, carded 81 on both days, taking her total for the tournament to 16-over par 162, two shots better than Chanelle Wangari who ended her challenge at the event with an 18-over par 164 score.
Meanwhile, Mercy Nyanchama shot a round of 80 on Friday, seven better than she had on Thursday, for a total of 27-over par 173.
