It was a sweet revenge for the Kisumu-based side against USIU, who beat them 1-0 in Kisumu in the first leg fixture.
Lakers Hockey Club beat USIU Ladies 3-1 in the Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) Women's Premier League at City Park on Sunday morning.
On Saturday, Lakers narrowly went down 1-0 to runaway league leaders Strathmore University at the same venue.
It was a sweet revenge for the Kisumu-based side against USIU, who beat them 1-0 in Kisumu in the first leg fixture.
"We were the better side. The ladies played well, even the goal we conceded was just a simple mistake," Lakers Team Manager John Paul Otieno told Mozzart Sport. He attributed the win to regular training, "More training has brought in good results".
Lakers are now second on the log with 17 points after ten games, two points off multiple Kenyan champions Blazers, who have played two games less.
With the league title out of reach Lakers have now turned their focus on finishing in position two. In their first adventure in the top-flight last season, the team finished fourth.
"Anything above position four would be a great achievement having in mind the challenges we faced as a team," Lakers coach Austin Tuju said.
Lakers will round up the season with two home games against Blazers and Wolverines.
