The best-of-three finals are set for next week

Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) women's volleyball side is through to the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) playoff final after defeating Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) in the best-of-three semis ongoing at Kasarani Indoor Arena.

The bankers, out to defend the title, await the winner of the match-up between former champions Kenya Pipeline and Prisons Kenya, set to be decided on Sunday.

Japeth Munala's KCB secured their spot in the final after a commanding 3-0 victory over DCI (25-20, 25-19, 25-9), establishing their dominance after a shaky Game One.

The bankers had survived an incredibly hard-fought DCI's comeback in Game One, winning 3-2 (25-17, 25-19, 21-25, 17-25, 16-14), the performance serving as a wake up call for Munala's charges who returned with a vengeance to secure the slot.

On their part, Prisons triumphed over Pipeline in straight sets 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-16), in the first match of the series but the Esther Jepkosgei-coached Oilers returned the favour in Game Two, winning 3-1 (25-11, 25-17, 16-25, 28-26) to set up a tie-breaker match set for Sunday.

"We had a tough start to the series, losing the opening match but regrouped for this win. It is not easy playing against Prisons but we will bring our all to the final as we look to qualify and reclaim the title," Pipeline's libero Agripina Kundu told Mozzart Sport
