Action is slated for 13 to 15 January 2023

Initially scheduled for Makande Hall in Mombasa, the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) women's league playoffs will now be hosted at Nyayo Indoor Arena in January.

KVF Sports organising secretary Ismail Chege had released a 2023 calendar of events indicating the delayed playoffs would be hosted in Mombasa much to the disapproval of many stakeholders.

In an updated calendar, the four-team competition has since been moved back to Nairobi this addressing fears of teams not honouring the matches due to cost implications as all teams are based in Nairobi. The dates remain 13 to 15 January 2023.

Holders Prisons Kenya who finished fourth in the regular league will be looking to regain the title they won in 2021 with former champions Kenya Pipeline and KCB angling for the elusive title while Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are going for a maiden gong.

The 2021/22 season had been planned to conclude in June this year but was delayed after clubs released players for the national team’s High Performance training in Brazil for the World Championships.

There were minimal changes made to the remaining part of the 2023 season as Mombasa and Nyayo will play host to all the other legs of the 2023 season.

In an attempt to conform to the international calendar of activities, the league is projected to conclude in June with the playoffs slated for 30 May to 1 June. The venue will be decided on later.
