The 2025 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) National Term One Games concluded on Saturday, 12 April, in Mombasa, with Rift Valley Region emerging as the overall champions after a week of high-octane competition.

Despite Western Region dominating several team sports, it was Rift Valley’s well-rounded performance across all disciplines—including athletics, basketball, hockey, and cross country—that sealed the top spot on the final rankings.
Musingu Boys once again asserted their dominance in one of the most anticipated fixtures of the boys’ hockey category, clinching their third consecutive national title with a narrow 1-0 win over perennial rivals St. Anthony's Boys Kitale.

Vihiga High School crowned a stellar campaign with a 14-6 victory over Kisii School in the boys' rugby 15s final. Defending champions All Saints Embu secured third place ensuring Eastern Region representation on the podium.
In boys’ basketball, Rift Valley’s Laiser Hill Academy edged out Coast Region’s Dr. Aggrey 71-69 in a thrilling final, securing the national title and adding to Rift Valley’s overall points tally.
The bronze went to Dagoretti High from Nairobi, who beat Lukenya in the playoff. In the girls’ division, Western Region’s Butere Girls delivered a powerful statement, dismantling Kaya Tiwi 76-53 to lift the national trophy.
Western Region’s dominance extended to handball as Kimilili Boys produced a masterclass in the boys' final, defeating Kamito Boys 35-18. In the girls’ category, defending champions Moi Girls Kamusinga added another national title to their cabinet with a 24-14 win over St. Joseph’s Girls Kitale.
Despite Western’s dominance in handball, hockey, and girls’ basketball, Rift Valley amassed critical points in athletics, cross country, and boys’ basketball to finish top with 95 points. Western followed closely with 88 points, while Nyanza placed third with 67.
