Kamusinga, favourites in girls' handball book Kakrao in semis.
In a highly explosive decider match Nairobi Region champions Hospital Hill got the better of defending champions Kimilili Secondary in boys' handball group B match at the ongoing Kenya Secondary School Sport Association (KSSSA) national games at Nakuru.
With a battery of coaches and former players flagging either bench, it was bound to be a tight match and that came with hot tempers whenever some referee calls did not favour one's team.
Both sides were tied at six goals at half time but the Nairobi champions, who were chasing the game in the first half, came back rejuvenated for 15-12 victory to subject the holders to their first defeat of the championship.
"The match was tight, which was expected since both sides are strong. Our strength was the defense we played and then we capitalised on their mistakes to make the best on offense.
Going into the semis we have identified on areas that need improvement. We have to work on our turnovers by taking care of the ball better while in possession," said Hospital Hill's Derrick Kwena adding that his charges remain focused and do not let the side shows affect their game.
