The finalists represent the country at the Easf Africa Games set for Arusha, Tanzania.

Kenya Secondary School Sport Association (KSSSA) boys' handball champions Kimilili Secondary, runners up Mbooni Boys and Nairobi region champions Hospital Hill have to face each other in the group stage of the games set to begin on Friday in Nakuru.

The unprecedented predicament the three teams find themselves in means on of the three is guaranteed to miss the chance to play in the East Africa Games as only two teams proceed to the semis from the group stage.

"It is a do or die from the first match. It is an interesting draw bit one that puts everyone under pressure since losing a single match means chances on missing the semis are higher.

I begin with coast champions Dungicha if previous fixture formats are to be followed. That gives me a good chance to warm up and be ready for the challenge presented by the other two sides," offered Mbooni Boys head coach Gerald Juma

On his part, Hospital Hill's coach Oscar Olulo beleives playing in the national league this past weekend has given his side the right preparation for the task ahead.

"We played four games that gave us just the competition we needed for our preparations as we go back to the national games for a second time. In 2019 we missed the final but we are better prepared for this championship.

We are going for nothing short of the title despite the competition we anticipate from all the teams. We know the two sides, Kimilili and Mbooni are likely to present the biggest challenge but we will take it one match at a time and fight for the chance to be at the East Africa Games as champions," offered Olulo.

Pool A has Nyanza champions Manyatta, Mang'u High who triumphed in Central, under the tutelage of Franicks Njoroge who turns up gor Buccaneers in the national league as well as Rift Valley's Kamitu.
