The Mombasa-based side completed a 2-0 sweep in the best-of-three finals after building on Friday's hard-fought 3-2 victory with a dominant 25-21, 25-20, 25-21 triumph to cap off a memorable campaign.
KPA signaled their intentions from the opening whistle, racing to a 12-7 lead through powerful attacking play and disciplined blocking.
Chema head coach Jeremiah Mukopi responded with an early timeout in an attempt to stem the tide, but the Dockers remained firmly in control.
The newly crowned champions stretched their advantage to 17-12, forcing Mukopi into another timeout. Chema improved after the break but could not match KPA's intensity as the Dockers closed out the opening set 25-21.
The pattern continued in the second and third sets, with KPA dominating at both ends of the court.
Their solid defense, effective blocking, and clinical finishing proved too much for the league newcomers, who eventually succumbed 25-20 and 25-21.
The victory handed KPA their first league crown and capped an outstanding season in which they peaked at exactly the right moment.
Head coach James Ontere praised his players for sticking to the game plan throughout the finals.
"We are delighted to win the league title for the first time. Everything worked according to plan, and the players executed our tactics perfectly. Our attack and defense were excellent, and that made the difference," said Ontere.
He added that the team's attention now turns to the Kenya Cup as they chase a domestic double.
Chema coach Jeremiah Mukopi admitted his side struggled to cope with KPA's pressure but remained proud of what his players achieved in their maiden season in the top flight.
"Our approach was not the best, and we struggled with our reception and service. We have learned valuable lessons from this defeat, and we will use this experience to become a better team," said Mukopi.
Chema's runner-up finish, nevertheless, marked an impressive debut campaign, with the club now shifting focus to the Kenya Cup.
KPA walked away with KSh300,000 and the league trophy, while Chema received KSh200,000 as runners-up.
In the third-place playoff, Kenya Prisons defeated Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) 3-2 in a thrilling five-set encounter to claim the bronze medal. Prisons won 25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 24-26, and 15-12 and earned KSh100,000.
Meanwhile, Kenyan volleyball received a major financial boost after sports betting firm BetPawa announced a KSh17.3 million sponsorship package for the 2026/27 KVF National League.
The partnership introduces the Locker Room Bonus initiative, under which every registered player and member of the technical bench from a winning team will receive KSh4,000 directly via mobile money after each league victory.
The sponsorship includes KSh13.632 million for the performance-based bonus program, KSh2.726 million in support for the Kenya Volleyball Federation, and KSh1 million in prize money for the league finals.
A total of 494 registered players and technical officials from both the men's and women's leagues are expected to benefit, with betPawa maintaining equal rewards for male and female teams.
betPawa Kenya Country Manager Crispus Mogere said the initiative is aimed at motivating players, strengthening domestic volleyball, and creating more opportunities for athletes and technical staff.
KVF Chairman Charles Nyaberi welcomed the sponsorship, describing it as a timely intervention for the federation.
"This partnership has come at the right time for Kenyan volleyball. Rewarding players for every league victory will motivate teams to train harder, compete better, and prepare our national teams, Wafalme Stars and Malkia Strikers.
I sincerely thank BetPawa for coming on board at a time when we are going through financial difficulties. This partnership has come at the right time for Kenyan volleyball," said Nyaberi.
