The Kenyan men's sides are likely to meet at the fifth place classification match

Four Kenyan teams are in action today in Tunisia at the Confederation of African Volleyball men and women’s Africa Club Championships.

Men's sides General Service Unit (GSU) and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) take on Cameroon's Port Douala and Nemostar of Uganda respectively.

The two sides are looking to win their respectively matches in the fifth to eighth place playoff for a chance to fight for a fifth-place finish. A win for both Kenyan representatives will see the two teams clash in the fifth place classification match.

GSU fell by straight sets to Tunisia's Esperance in the quarter final to fall short in their target of reaching the last four. In 2019, the side had finished ninth.

KPA, who were making their debut at the continental level, headed to the championship with a last-eight target which they achieved. At the quarters, they picked a set against title favourites Zamalek for a 3-1 loss.

Meanwhile, battle for semis slots in the women's showpiece continues with Kenyan champions Prisons hoping to bounce from their 3-2 loss to hosts CS Sfaxien when they take on another home team, Kelibia.

Prisons are third in Pool A at four points, two behind Kelibia who have won their two matches.

Meanwhile, Pipeline who are perched top of their pool B at nine points from three wins will be looking to extend their stay at the helm when they take on Nigeria Customs in another Pool B match.
