The Geoffrey Omondi-led side had picked a straight-sets victory in Game One on Friday, and despite the Investigators putting up a spirited fight, experience pulled the former African champions through for the win.
DCI, who struggled in Game One, returned for the second match-up guns blazing, picking the first set 25-21 in dominant fashion. Pipeline, however, recovered to take the second set with a similar scoreline, and it was game on.
A spectacular start in the third for DCI saw them go ahead 9-4, the early advantage giving them breathing space when the opponent mounted a serious comeback down the stretch. The Patrick Sang-coached side took the set 25-18 to double their advantage.
It was a must-win fourth set for Pipeline, and while DCI looked keen to seal the win and force a decider match early on, Omondi's charges fought back to register yet another 25-21 win to level the sets.
In the final one, it was an all-Pipeline show as they fought to make the change at 8-4, holding DCI off for 15-11 to seal the series 2-0.
"It was not going to be an easy match as DCI have been a good side and we expected them to fight back. They did not play safe like was the case in Game One, and we had to dig deep for this win.
It was a tough season, and I am happy that we have crowned it with a title," coach Omondi offered.
Meanwhile, DCI picked their maiden podium finish, silver, having qualified for the final for the first time after finishing in fourth place or lower since joining the top-tier league in 2018.
Sang, who took over head coach duties after the untimely demise of coach Daniel Bor, dedicated the achievement to his late boss.
