
KCB, KPA in Africa Volleyball Club Championships action on Tuesday

The Bankers with a win will scure top spot in Pool B
Two Kenyan clubs; KCB and KPA will be in action on Tuesday in the Africa Volleyball Club Championships taking place in Tunisia.
The defending African Women’s Volleyball Club Championships Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) will hope to make it three wins on the bounce when they face Senegal’s Asac Salitique in their last Pool B fixture from 5PM EAT.
KCB saw out their two Pool B opponents - Ethiopia’s National Alcohol (25-20, 25-12, 25-9) and Cameroon’s Nyong Et Kelle Volleyball Dames by a score of (25-7, 25-20, 25-16) to top the group standings.
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) men on the other hand will look to come back from their 3-2 sets loss to JOA of Algeria last Sunday when they face Senegal’s ISEC at the Salle Kelibia Gymnasium from 5PM EAT.
KPA - straight from a three sets to one victory over CSV Yaounde in the opening game - led JOA by a score of 25-23 and 31-29 in the first two sets before crumbling 24-26, 14-25 and 10-15 in the ensuing sets.

On Monday, Kenya Volleyball Federation women’s champions Kenya Pipeline recorded their second victory of the competition after seeing out Mouloudia of Algeria by a score of 25 – 21, 20 – 25, 25 – 18, 25 – 21.
The win follows up their 3-1 win against Chief of Naval of Nigeria in the opening game of the championships that began last Friday.
A match against CO Descartes of Ivory Coast on Wednesday will see Paul Gitau’s side finish top of the group heading to the knockout stages.
