NCPB lead the latest standings at 14 points after a seven-game winning streak, separated with Ulinzi by goal difference.
As part of their preparations for the upcoming national school games, Hospital Hill have four matches to play in this weekend's Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) league action, returning after a four-week break.
Under the name Inspired Boys in the local league, the youngsters will hope to pick up from where they left, having beaten title-hopefuls Strathmore University 31-27 in their last league match before the break, and continued their good showing in the league.

The Nairobi region school games champions begin the weekend with a clash against Nairobi County Council (NCC) on Saturday at 11.30 am before taking on Buccaneers three hours later.
“They are a good side and while their last match against Strathmore came as a surprise to many, we know they have the ability to pull such results.
Additionally, they come buoyed by their result at the regional school games and that added to the fact that the four-week break has not affected them as they remained active makes this a tough match.
Our players got back this week but the squad has not been able to train together properly and fitness issues might surface. Some players are also likely to miss the fixture as they are committed elsewhere but we remain confident and will fight for maximum points,” offered Buccaneers skipper Franicks Njoroge.
In the other men’s league match holders, National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) face Kisii-based Boomarang who have only played three matches so far and have some catching up to do.
“We have had challenges in training, especially with the uncertainty after the general elections. We only got back to training this week and not every player has been available.
We could also easily lack the quorum to face an opponent of NCPB’s stature but we will do our best,” offered Boomarang’s team manager Kevin Manono.
Additionally, Manono admits that his team does not have the depth that the holders boast but promised to make the best of the encounter, adding that the rest of their weekend matches could potentially hand them their first points in the league this season.
In the women’s league, holders Nairobi Water will be in action, up against newbies Net Navigators in a fixture that the defending champions are a clear favorite on paper.
The second match has Net Navigators involved as they look to add to their points when they face New Hope.
