The Kenyan pugilists landed in DRC on Sunday
Hit Squad head coach Benjamin Musa is upbeat about Kenya's performance at the Africa Zone 3 Championship currently underway at the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The tactician exuded confidence that his charges will have a better display and better results at the competition as compared to what they had in the last edition last year.
Musa further said that they will use the platform to identify the final team for the Commonwealth Games slated for later in the year.
“We are ready for the task ahead and I'm confident that we shall post better results than last year because the Africa Zone 3 Championships is key to our preparations ahead of the Commonwealth Games. Given it will afford us an opportunity to identify our final team as we eye a medal haul in Birmingham in order to make our country proud,” Musa is quoted saying on Citizen Digital.

Having had a sour experience before, Musa added that they will ask to meet the judges prior to their matches to ensure they are at par with all the rules .
“We don't want to be subjected to a repeat of what we experienced at the 2020 Tokyo Games and the World Boxing Championships in Belgrade, Serbia where rules were changed without our knowledge,” he added.
