The Kenya Cup, introduced last season, pits the top eight league finishers playing in a single-elimination format.
The last eight ties were initially set for 20 to 22 June, but were postponed to pave the way for national team assignments for beach volleyball players.
In the women’s contest, league champions Kenya Pipeline have been given a bye to the semifinals.
KCB will have to sweat for a last-four slot against Postbank, while Prisons Kenya look to salvage their season as they begin their campaign against Kenya Army.
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), who finished as runners-up in the just concluded national league, face Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) as they seek to cap off their remarkable season with silverware.
Prisons head coach Josp Barasa, in an interview with the Standard, says his side is out to salvage the season after missing out on the podium in league action.
“We drew invaluable lessons from the league and also analysed our performance, and are using this to improve in areas where we were struggling. We intend to strengthen all our departments and finish the season on a high,” Barasa offered.
In the men’s competition, league holders GSU take on Kenya Airports Police Unit (KAPU), as runners-up Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) face Trailblazers.
Last season’s league champions, Prisons Kenya, will battle bronze medalists Equity Bank, while Administration Police Kenya chase a last-four place against KDF.
The semis and the two finals will be held on Saturday, 12 and Sunday, 13 July, respectively.
