Action continues on Sunday at the Nyayo Handball Court with Rangers in action.

Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) men's league side General Service Unit (GSU) dominated their match against Rangers HC to pick a 35-20 victory and move to fifth place on the 19-team log.

The paramilitary side headed to the match needing to redeem themselves after falling by a single goal in a 27-26 outcome in their last outing against Kenyatta University (K.U).

GSU got off to a spectacular start and were ahead by ten points at 21-11 at the conclusion of the first 30 minutes of the game.

The Soldiers came back from the locker rooms more charged but Rangers managed to slow them down, allowing only 14 in the second period as they scored nine for the final tally.

Phillip Oscar led the scoring with six goals as Mark Barasa and Fernwick Opicho added five a piece for the win while Edwin Kimalilo managed six for the losing side.

Rangers, however, had a chance to redeem themselves in their second match of the day, thrashing Nairobi County Council (NCC) 51-21 for their fourth victory in nine matches.

In other men's league matches, University of Eldoret (UoE) picked their second victory in the league after beating Inspired Boys 40-37 in a close encounter.

Daniel Ombasa and Nehemia Kosgei scored 12 and nine for the varsity side in the win but it was Inspired's Brian Barasa who emerged top scorer in the match with 17 goals.

Meanwhile, Rangers Women had a Saturday to remember as they picked maximum points in their two matches beating Rising Star 46-15 in the first match before humiliating Daystar Falcons 49 -11 in their second match of the day.

Esther Kisaka and Diana Muyehu contributed nine each for the win against Rising Star. Muyehu added eight to her tally in the match against Falcons that saw Lydia Nafula top score with eleven goals.
