Rally driver Maxine Wahome has been released on a cash bail of Sh100,000 over claims of assaulting her boyfriend Asad Khan who is currently in a critical condition fighting for his life in the hospital.
This happens while the family is appealing for blood donation for Khan, a rally driver also himself, who is under intensive care at the High Dependency Unit at Avenue Hospital, as per reports by Nation.
The June LG/SJAK Sports Personality of the month spent a day in custody and was set to be held for 14 days if the plea by the police to allow time to complete investigations into the matter but Nairobi magistrate Bernard Ochoi said in a ruling that there was no compelling reasons to have her in custody.

However, the magistrate has directed the 24-year-old to report to Kilimani Police Station every Thursday until investigations on the matter are complete or up to until January 16.
The court heard that Khan sustained a deep cut in his ankle, which was allegedly inflicted by the Wahome, with police accounts reporting finding a lot of blood and broken glass at the scene.
The two have been together since last year and reports indicate that a neighbour, worried about a disturbance in their apartment, called the Khan's sibling who in turn called the relevant authorities to the house.
