Yes, you read it accurately. He needed less than ten seconds to trigger the lucrative bonus
Teach us, master!
That's all we can say after hearing the news of American basketball star Jrue Holiday, who earned as much as KSh 35,3 million for playing eight (8) seconds on Sunday night.
Milwaukee Bucks guard needed so little time on the court to trigger a bonus he was promised at the start of the current NBA season.

With the NBA's regular-season concluding on Sunday, the Milwaukee Bucks rested their starters against the Cleveland Cavaliers - all except for Holiday, who remained conspicuously in the starting lineup alongside a group of players who most certainly won't be seeing significant playing time in the postseason.
Cavaliers guard Darius Garland secured the tip, and Holiday immediately fouled him at half court. Holiday then exited the game in favour of Lindell Wigginton and didn't return.
best day of work ever: Jrue Holiday puts on his uniform just to commit a foul and leave, is now ~$225,000 richer because he met the games played threshold in his contract to trigger the bonus. pic.twitter.com/HlgCXa5bFO

Per Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, Holiday's eight-second appearance in Sunday's game triggered a KSh 35,3 million bonus in his contract for playing in 67 games this season. Sunday was his 67th game.
The Bucks' head coach Mike Budenholzer was clearly aware of the money at stake. So he made sure his star got his payout while minimizing his risk of injury. It all added up to a relatively small token of goodwill from the Bucks to help keep one of their key players happy.
What a payday that was for young Jrue.
