The varsity side is three matches away to the conclusion of the regular league which paces way for the eight-team playoff.
As the Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) regular leagues enter the homestretch, University of Nairobi Dynamites have their work cut out in the remaining fixtures as they look to finish in top four ahead of the playoffs.
The side's ambitious plan to finish in the top three at the conclusion of the regular league were dealt a blow on Wednesday 20 October in the mid-week matches as they went down 53-41 to Storms who are also fighting for a playoff place.

Head coach Juma Kent blames the loss to fatigue but has maintained that the team still has a chance to finish in fourth place and book a slot to the eight-team playoff where they are looking to make it to the semis for the second season running.
"Teams are stepping up as the league conclusion nears but I can say fatigued is catching up with my players. We have played many matches I a short span. We played two games in the weekend before our trip to Mombasa where we faced Kenya Ports Authority (KPA).

We came back and played two more matches in Nairobi before heading out to Kisumu last weekend. We travelled back from Kisumu on Monday and two days later had to suit up against Storms," explained Kent.
The side is yet to play league leaders KPA, defending champions Equity Hawks and third placed Zetech University.
"We are trying to have the returning students (from long holiday) fell with the rest of the squad and that takes some time. I am target one win from the remaining three matches and that will help us finish either in fourth or fifth position. More importantly, we will use the remaining matches to prepare for the playoffs," he added.
