The Canadian has joined Wilt, Robertson, and Jordan
It wouldn't be undeserved if Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won the MVP award. He’s playing exceptionally well, Oklahoma is comfortably leading the Western Conference, and the fact that the Nikola Jokic center is missing the final part of the season due to a left ankle injury—and that his return date remains uncertain—further strengthens the Thunder guard’s case.

SGA was once again the best player in his team's 121-105 victory over Sacramento, scoring 32 points (7/16 from two, 3/6 from three, 9/10 free throws), along with seven rebounds and five assists. This marked his 65th consecutive game with 20+ points, breaking the franchise record previously held by Kevin Durant (64 games).
This level of consistency is the main reason Oklahoma is performing so well, leading the NBA with a 60-12 record, and why the Canadian star is likely to claim the MVP award. Additionally, Gilgeous-Alexander has joined an elite NBA club—he’s only the fourth player in history to record 65 straight games with 20+ points, alongside Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson, and Michael Jordan.
