In the other fixture of the day, third placed Botswana will play Rwanda in the mid-morning session

Kenya national men’s cricket side will on Tuesday, 13 June, afternoon renew their rivalry against Uganda when the two sides face off for the second time in three days as the Continent Cup T20- Africa tournament enters Day Four at the Nairobi Gymkhana Grounds in Nairobi, Kenya.

Kenya - the early tournament leaders after the first round of what is scheduled to be a triple-round robin event - beat Uganda in the first match-up on Saturday in a comprehensive 88 runs win that saw former Kenya’s skipper Collins Obuya go out for 96 in the first innings as Kenya won the toss and opted to bat.

Speaking after the game and projecting what to expect in another highlight game that would provide the tournament’s top seeds - Uganda - a chance to bounce back from their sole defeat, Cranes captain Julius Masaba said; “I think it sometimes happens that some changes end up backfiring. It's a good lesson we have taken from today’s game, of course our fielding wasn’t the best and so was our batting. Adjusting is the name of the game and we should be ready to come back and win.”

With three wins in the tournament against Rwanda, Uganda and Botswana - an eight wickets victory on Sunday - Kenya lead the standings with six points followed by Uganda who have only dropped one game and could close the gap to overtake the hosts with a win on Tuesday.

“It's still early doors for us,” star man Collins Obuya said of the team’s start. “We are taking it a step at a time but it's promising to go out this way.”

Kenya’s performance has been dominant on both ends - Shem Ngoche also leading the way on the bowling side with two strong performances against Uganda and Botswana where he rattled four and three wickets respectively. He also leads all batters on average run-rate.

In the other fixture of the day, third placed Botswana will play Rwanda in the mid-morning session.

Botswana on Saturday stunned Rwanda by 33 runs to pick up their first victory in the tournament.
