locally Kenya National Karting Championship has adopted a double-header format to feature five race weekends.
FIA African Rally Championship (ARC) has reverted to its traditional seven-leg format following the inclusion of Burundi into its 2023 schedule.
Burundi International Rally will replace Rally of South Africa after a successful candidate event in 2022. It is slated for 19 to 20 August.
South Africa pulled out of the continental series citing financial constraints, leaving contestants with six legs to compete in the last season. Theirs was supposed to be the penultimate round on 17-19 November 2022.
The 2023 ARC calendar gets underway on the weekend of 25 and 26 February with Rallye Bandama in Ivory Coast.
Equator Rally, the Kenyan round of the ARC, will be held on the weekend of March 18-19, coinciding with WRC Rally Guanajuato México and serves as the second leg of both the continental championship and the national series.
Kenyan ace Karan Patel will be hoping to wrestle the continental title from Zambian rival Leroy Gomes who denied the RedBull athlete the honour of a national and ARC double.

After his win in the Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC), Karan intimated that he would be taking part in all the legs of the championship as he looks to win the double.
Last season, he missed the opening leg of the ARC in Ivory Coast and also retired in Uganda, winning the other four legs.
Meanwhile, locally Kenya National Karting Championship has adopted a double-header format to feature five race weekends.
