The bankers have a date with Bungoma Polytechnic on Sunday 4 May as they look to extend their unbeaten run to 20 matches in the 26-team league
With six rounds left to the conclusion of the Kenya Handball Federation (KHF), reigning Super Cup champions Equity HC are keen to claim a maiden men’s title.
Former Black Mamba player Stower Radzi, now with the Bankers for the second season, says adding the league title to his resume is both a personal and team priority.

“The team's shift from last season’s performance has been largely due to our fitness. The Strength and Conditioning incorporated in our training has given us the much-needed push to handle all teams. In our debut season, we came short in our finishes, as our endurance was wanting,” Radzi explained.
Radzi, who has previously captained Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), admits that winning the Super Cup was a huge motivation, as it changed the team’s mindset when it came to handling the more experienced sides.
Last season, the Peter Mwathi-coached side finished third, after losses to General Service Unit (GSU) and Ulinzi HC by a single goal and a draw against eventual champions National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB).
“Our squad depth has played a huge part in our turnaround this season. Everyone has gotten the basics right, our mindset is in the right place, and we are technically in a better place and are building on this. We are managing games better and are more comfortable with our systems,” he added.
At a personal level, Radzi says playing under national team coach Mwathi has helped him grow as a player, and winning the league title would be a dream achieved.
“I have been chasing a professional contract for a while, and being with this team has molded me into a different player. Under Mwathi, I have improved both my skills and decision-making on and off the court. Winning the Super Cup gave me the hunger to lift the league title, and I am doing everything to help the team lift what will be our maiden title,” he explained.
