The team is set to depart on Saturday 23 June for Manila
Leading gaming firm Mozzart Bet has boosted Malkia Strikers' preparations for the upcoming Paris Olympic Games with a token of Ksh 2 million.
This is support over and above an already existing one and a half-year partnership of Ksh 15 million that runs until the end of 2024.
The token will go towards the team's allowances ahead of the FIVB Challenger Cup slated for 2 to 7 July in The Philippines.
This is the last competition for the team before heading to France for the Summer Games.

While the Cup presents Malkia Strikers with an opportunity to qualify for the prestigious Volleyball Nations League (VNL), competed by the top national teams in the world, it is a timely competition as the national team is weeks away from featuring at the Paris Games.
The Cup matches and other friendly encounters planned in Manila, before heading out to Miramas for a National Olympics Committee of Kenya (NOC-K)- sponsored camp, provide the team a perfect opportunity to gauge their preparations so far ahead of the Games.
"The partnership between the firm and Malkia Strikers began a few years ago when the team came to us seeking support to travel to Brazil for training before the 2022 World Championships in Poland and the Netherlands.
As a socially responsible organization, we agreed to a one-year sponsorship worth Ksh 10 million, which included a training camp in Serbia just before the championships," Saša Krneta narrated as he walked down memory lane with the African Champions.
Last year, Mozzart renewed its partnership with the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) for another one-and-a-half years, until the end of 2024.
"During this second year, the Malkia Strikers won their 10th African title in Cameroon. I was fortunate to witness that historic moment, especially after losing three straight finals to Cameroon. Achievements like this give our partnership meaning," he continued.
Krneta said the small donation was to boost the players' morale ahead of the two competitions.
"I want to thank Coach Bitok and the technical team. To the players, led by team captain Moim, Chumba, Veronica, Nekesa, Agripina, and everyone else who played a key role in qualifying for the Paris Olympics, we wouldn't be here without your hard work. We are honored to be part of your 'ONE TEAM ONE MISSION' journey," Krneta concluded.
