KVF women's league dealt another setback

Malkia Strikers are set yo play at the World Championships in August
The Women's Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) league has been put on hold indefinitely , Mozzart Sport can confirm.
The fifth league leg was scheduled for 7 June, then postponed to 14 June at the request of teams that had just returned from the Confederation of African Volleyball Federation (CAVB) club championship.
A letter from the fixtures secretary Ismael Chege to clubs has seen by Mozzart Sport has, however, called for the indefinite postponement of the women's matches until the National team, Malkia Strikers complete their assignment at the World Championships.
"Kenya volleyball federation women National team is preparing for women world Championship to be played in August 2022 .The team will be leaving for Brazil on 18/06/2022 for two months training with Brazilian teams and the neighboring countries.
The national team is formed by players selected from all the national league teams for women. Whenever the national team is in camp, all league matches are postponed because the key players of these other teams are always engaged in this national assignment.
The KVF national office have rescheduled the 5th league leg which was to kick off on 14/06/2022 until further communication is made on when to resume. Sorry for any inconveniences caused by this changes," the letter reads.
The men’s sixth leg is set for June 23 to 26 at Nyayo Indoor Arena.
