KPA survive Trailblazers scare as GSU, Prisons Kenya win

Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) men's volleyball side had a fight of a lifetime as they faced a resilient Trailblazers to pick a 3-2 victory in a match played at Nyayo Indoor Arena.
The dockers, playing their second match of the weekend, won the first set 25-17 to ignite the fire in a highly-motivated Trailblazers who fought to level the sets at 23-25.
Geoffrey Omondi-led Trailblazers won the third set 21-25 to move to one set away from a crucial victory that would have shaped the race for playoff slots early.

However, KPA made a comeback, winning the fourth set 25-18 to force the match into a decider fifth set that they won 15-12.
The day was lined with thrillers as Equity Bank came from a set down against Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to win 3-2.
The soldiers won 25-18 but the bankers leveled the score at 19-25 to make it a see-saw as KDF won the next set. The bankers, keen not to drop yet another crucial point won the fourth and fifth sets 24-26 and 13-15 to pick two points.
Meanwhile, champions General Service Unit (GSU) continued their winning ways as the picked maximum points in a straight-sets victory over Prisons Rift Valley.
Kenya Forest Service (KFS) beat Prisons Nyanza by straight sets while Prisons Kenya played four sets to win against Prisons Mombasa.
