As finalists, KPA have booked a ticket to represent the zone at the FIBA Africa Club Championships.
FIBA Africa Zone Five club championship title holders KPA are on course to adding another title after trouncing over Rwanda's APR 61-39 in the semifinal on Friday evening at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium Indoor Arena in Dar es Salaam.
They will now face off with Egypt's ASC on Saturday in the final, with the Egyptian side having edged out Rwanda Energy Group 49-45 in the other semifinal.
On their way to the semis, KPA thrashed Vijana Queens of Tanzania 74-29 in the quarterfinal, in a complete mismatch encounter between the two sides.
Kenya would have had two teams in the semis but Equity Bank Hawks lost 52-40 to Rwanda Energy Group 52-40.
KPA head coach Antony Ojukwu lauded his defense for a job well done in the match, more so their resilience in the latter stages of the game, further praising his team for the turnaround after a below-par start in the first half.
"We did not start so well but I am happy that my defense came to the rescue because they have been consistent throughout. The players know how I want to play and they won the game for us. The defense played in an aggressive manner," Ojukwu said.
Ahead of the final, Ojukwu does not plan to make any alterations to how they planned in the semis as they march towards the title.
"We are not changing the way we played. The plan is to employ the same game plan," he added.
Equity Bank Hawks saw off Young Sisters of Burundi in their placement match played earlier, hitting them 70-44.
