
Dominant performances for Kigen, Malit as chase for Motocross points intensifies

The fourth round of the series will be held at the same venue early next month.
MX65 leader Kigen Mutuma was among the star attractions as the third round of the National Motocross Championship culminated at Jamhuri Park racetrack.
Riding a KTM contraption in a class that attracted 16 riders, Mutuma dominated all the three rounds at stake to rack up his second straight with a flawless point-score of 60.
A hard charging Kigen beat Dylan Hatanga (47) and Mathenge Kamundia (45) to a scintillating podium finish before an enthusiastic crowd which graced the season's third race meeting at Jamhuri.
In the process, Kigen extended his lead in the competitive MX65 class with a cumulative 117 points after two races.
Pee Wee Class honors went to Dimitar Krachev Malit (60) who beat Kemboi Kandie (17) in the race. The latter did not start the first moto and scored 17 in the next two for a score of 34.
Neo Wahome was the victor in MC125 with a score 60 after winning three heats on his way up.
Tanav Choda came second with a score of 51 whilst Ryan Tiren sealed the podium dash on 45.
In the MX85 Class, Lewis Ohonyi (54) beat Atete Benzinge (52) and Myles Wahome (48) to emerge the victor. Zawadi Nyachae scored 41 to finish fourth in class.
Ogonyi came second in both the first and second moto and sealed the race with winning the third heat.
Myles won the first moto with Atete taking the second on 20points.
Barry Notes emerged the winner in MX50 class
