Zoo waste home advantage to share spoils with a visiting Stima
Relegation battling duo of Western Stima and Zoo FC have complicated their chances of avoiding the axe after playing to a barren draw at the Green Stadium in Kericho on Wednesday afternoon.
The two teams who had won their previous matches failed to make good use of the chances created to eventually labor for a point which is not enough to guarantee them safety in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL), at least for now.
Zoo who had not won a league match this season until last weekend will be guilty of failing to capitalize on home advantage and put off Stima.
Following the result, Zoo remain at the bottom of the log with seven points, five shy of Stima who are placed 15th
Meanwhile, the limping Zoo have been handed a major boost in their bid to escape relegation following the return of Danson Kiprono from injury.
The budding midfielder who is arguably one of the best players at the club had been missing out of action from February 10, thanks to a hip injury suffered during their 2-0 to Sofapaka at the Kasarani Annex.
Kiprono, was stretchered off early in the first half after colliding with an opponent while in contention for an aerial ball but he is now available for selection after resuming training last week.

The national U20 Rising Stars midfielder was a hot cake in the recently shut transfer window owing to the interests from former champions Ulinzi Stars and the high-flying KCB but his allegiance to the club which scouted and gave him a chance in the top flight was firm.
"I am ready to rumble again after recovering from the hip setback. I had missed a couple of matches but I am now fully fit to be summoned for duty. I have returned at a time when the team is brimming in confidence and hopefully my contribution will bring forth more wins and help the club scale to a safer rank on the log," he said.
Congratulations Danson Kiprono
