Zoo set to re-sign old FKF Premier League guards in resurgence bid

FKF Division 1 side Zoo Fc is set to resign their FKF Premier League old guards even as they plot a resurgence and return to the National Super League and eventually the top tier.
In a friendly match played on Sunday against FKF Division 2 central zone side CGB FC, some of their old guards played for them.
Former club captain Kepha Ondati, midfielder Summy Ggolola, who signed with NSL side MOFA, and immediate former Shabana FC winger Denis Ongeri turned out for the Kericho-based side.
Former Posta Rangers winger Ongeri in fact scored a brace in the match that ended 4-0 in favor of Zoo, netting the first and the last goal.
This is the clearest of indications that head coach Herman Iswekha is looking for his old guards to come to the rescue of the club which was demoted to Division 2 by FIFA as a result of match manipulation.

Ondati was one of the long serving and key members of the team in their glory days, serving as their last captain in the FKF Premier League.
He then departed the club and joined Mulembe United, where he had a short stint before taking a short break.
He now looks to fancy a return to his former side, and was also linked with a move to FKF Division II side Gucha Stars.
Ugandan Ggolola, on the other hand, played despite having completed a move to NSL side Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA).
Ggolola was one of the players who exited NSL club Naivas FC after they failed to clinch a move to the FKF Premier League last season.
Meanwhile, Ongeri was one of the players who were deemed surplus by coach Sammy 'Pamzo' Omollo after Shabana fought to escape from the jaws of relegation last season.
Ongeri, who is an employee of the Postal Corporation, the parent parastatal that owns Posta Rangers, seems to have kicked off his return to Zoo fc on a high note after scoring a brace in the friendly match.
